UCF's Department of Sustainability and Energy Management approached us wanting to completely revamp their departmental website and create a flagship portal for the university's environmental initiatives using Drupal, an open source content management system. Our main challenges included:
- Organizing a vast array of content from the old departmental site and combining it with new university-wide content categories in a logical manner.
- Creatively displaying energy savings data, leading to the creation of the graphics present on the bottom of the site. The client can access that area and change out one variable to update both slides.
- Defining and tracking key metrics for success while engaging students, faculty, staff, and members of the community - hence the creation and implementation of the "Pledge" application.
- Making the site easy to update.
- Successfully adhering to UCF branding guidelines while conveying a unique look that speaks to the site's subject matter.
We’ve successfully created a dynamic site that is both engaging and informative, and received an A+ from our valued partners at UCF.
