Colorado Choice Distributors, a fine frozen meats wholesaler and distributor, presented Rise with the unique challenge of building the company’s first ever website geared toward their individual distributors. Without even the design of business cards to go off of, the Rise team got to know CCD intimately in order to get the look and feel of the site just right.
While the company sells pork, poultry, shellfish and seafood, Colorado Choice Distributors is best known for it’s juicy and tender steaks of all cuts. The overarching feel of the site was based off high-quality images, such as fine wood grain textures that also hint at the marbling quality of CCD’s steaks. A subtle watermark was overlaid into the wood grain to maintain the brand image of Colorado Choice.
On the interior pages, a white background area was used to pull focus to the meats and packages offered by Colorado Choice, and the contact page offers site visitors a chance to get in touch with their local CCD distributor or become a distributor themselves.
So how do you really take a company that is driven by man power and translate it to the web?
The Colorado Choice Distributors website was designed in a way that kept the company’s roots intact. Rather than attempt to shift the marketshare of CCD to online sales like many other clients request of Rise, CCD wanted to use the website as a digital catalogue that their distributors could show to their own clients while working.
