The Importance of Being Organized

Last week we were approached by UCF Digital Media student Caitlin Havener for an interview for their Information Management class. We couldn't have been more pleased or excited. Given that 4 of the 8 folks here at Rise are UCF alum (3 of those 4 being Digital Media alum, specifically), we couldn’t say no.

Caitlin and her classmates interviewed Brand Manager Dawn Borglund on Wednesday, April 6.  Given the course they were taking, their questions were quite specific. They came to learn about digital asset management and Dawn answered every question ranging from how we keep our files organized and how we back them up to how project flow happens, how scheduling tasks smoothly occurs, and how we handle creating assets on the one hand while gathering and editing other assets on the other hand.

According to Dawn, the interview went fantastically:
“I received my Film and Digital Media MFA from UCF and taught a few undergrad classes there, so I have a real soft spot for UCF Digital Media students. These particular students were highly motivated and incredibly friendly. It’s always so nice to talk with students who have a handle on what they want to do next in their careers.”

We can't wait to see the rest of what the department has to offer at the UCF Digital Showcase in April!
