2011 has been so busy for us at Rise that we are blessed with the problem of having been remiss in our duties to announce the completion of an important project milestone!
Though the site technically went live on February 7th, the entire team at Rise is proud and pleased to belatedly announce the launch of client Tamia Hill’s new official site, TamiaWorld!
When Tamia approached us to redesign her website she brought a ton of great ideas to the table regarding the functionality she wanted to add. The team at Rise was eager and able to please.
Apart from revamping the overall look and feel of the site and converting it to the powerfully flexible Drupal platform, the site had to be able to turn on a dime, showcasing the multiple dimensions that make up Tamia’s professional, personal, and public lives.
Whether inspiring women through the successful balancing act of being an artist, mother, wife, and philanthropist, keeping fans up to date on tours, albums, and projects, or encouraging fans to engage and interact with her always evolving life, TamiaWorld offers the most reliable and current source for all news and information about Tamia’s multi-faceted life.

When asked about the challenge of going above and beyond for this project, Lead Developer Efrain Lugo had this to say, “Tamia wanted twitpics integrated with her site and that's what she got! I was skeptical that this could be done at the start but after spending some time researching a way, I found the solution."
A considerable amount of time was spent ensuring the site was easily updatable. Tamia doesn't need to upload a photo or even a video manually; it directly feeds into her site via twitpics and YouTube. If she wants a new slide on her homepage she only needs to fill out a form and attach a photo. Same with her albums and blog posts. The whole site is dynamically driven allowing more interaction and updates between Tamia and her friends, family, and fans!
